Over three evening sessions, participants will be guided through the fundamentals of computer-aided design (CAD) in a hands-on, supportive environment. You’ll learn how to create simple parts, understand design constraints, and prepare files for digital fabrication—no prior CAD experience required. The course will focus on designing parts in a software called Fusion 360, which is freely available on your own device! (Download a hobbyist licence).
This course is ideal for makers, tinkerers, hobbyists, and anyone curious about using the Ideas Factory equipment more confidently. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and confidence to start designing your own projects and making the most of the makerspace.
Dates and prices for the course are still to be confirmed, and if there is significant interest then we will run multiple courses
Non members get one months free membership, allowing you to apply the skills you’ve learnt afterwards on your own projects.
